3D printing, also called additive manufacturing is a process in which a digital model (from CAD software like AutoCAD) is turned into a tangible, real life three-dimensional object, usually by laying down many successive, thin layers of a material using a 3D printer.
Get started with our 3D printing training (Level1) to learn the basic skill you need to create a 3D object in a CAD software and produce a real life object with a 3D printer. The course contents include:
Pre-requisite: Basic knowledge of CAD e.g. AutoCAD
Duration: 2 days (Saturdays)

This course is designed for beginners with no prior knowledge of AutoCAD software. You will learn how to setup a work space, create 2D drawings and modify them using AutoCAD tools. You will also be introduced to architectural, electrical and mechanical related drawing during the course of the training.

This course is ideal for users who are proficient in using 2D drawing, who now want to take advantage of AutoCAD’s 3D modelling capabilities. You will learn how to create 3D models from 2D designs and produce visualizations of models using visual style, material and lighting.
